An opportunity has arisen for a skilled administrator at our NDC in Sharpness , Gloucestershire .

Its a busy contract so the post holder will ensure the integrity of operations and compliance to all procedures related to status and movement of inventory; instigate, report, and control stock to ensure best protection against company loss.

You will assist the stock manager as required; oversee the Warehouse management system and the computer equipment on site ;control all imports and documentation.

Training will be give for the right candidate

Main Accountabilities

Manage Inventory control on the WMS system at Sharpness warehouse. Ensuring all controls are in place to maximise stock availability, achieving customer service levels in stock avaialbility

Liase with NDC stock control to ascertain loads planned in. Upon arrival of goods ensure stock is located in the correct / locations and that the stock is visible and available for customer orders without delay, this includes all imports. Also ensure that all documentation is correct and meets with all the legal requirements. Liaise with customers and hauliers.

Manage the JDE system and administration to ensure that the operators maintain the integrity of the system through monitoring the movements and complete regular systems housekeeping tasks.

To establish and attain agreed customers service levels, ensuring effective communications with key internal and external departments (customer service, Tele Sales, customer logistics production sites and technical departments) and with nominated customer contacts in order to maintain customer satisfaction.

Establish and continually maintain BSI operating standards and ensure that all procedures are followed operationally. Ensure that all-new disciplines and operational changes are entered into BSI system correctly.

It is the holder’s responsibility to ensure that stock the Warehouse facilities is managed within company standards and HMC&E regulations.

To ensure that the company disciplinary and sickness procedures are met and adhered to within your areas of responsibility, working with and reporting to the company personnel department at all times.

To be proactive in building good relationships with internal and external customers to achieve logistical support.

To ensure that team members make sound operational decisions to give the best possible solutions for the business.

Ensure that good communications are maintained throughout all departments, organise and develop meetings to promote good working relationships with Operatives, Health & Safety and ensure that regular team briefings are carried out.

Ensure that Company procedures are implemented at all times within your team -:

Induction’s, training needs, sickness reporting, etc.

The holder must be able to liase with internal and external customers to establish service requirements and to act on this information by installing procedures, disciplines and monitoring systems, thereby ensuring the achievement of targeted performance levels in conjunction with other members of the management team.

Skills & Experience

Excellent computer and IT skills.

Demonstrable people skills and an approachable manner, whilst at the same time demonstrate assertiveness to ensure goals are reached.

A strong work ethic.

Ability to quickly make decisions and solve problems under own initiative.

Ability to manage and coach new and existing drivers and team members.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent administration skills, ensuring that paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
