This is an exciting and engaging opportunity for Candidate to grow on the job. We are looking for someone thoughtful who has enthusiasm for managing and supporting the Team as well as expertise in a Sterile Services environment.
This is a Supervisory Role within Sterile Services Department. The candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a Sterile Services Department, knowledge of Reusable Surgical
Instruments.

Sterile Services is part of the Trusts Surgical Division. Our main customer is the In Patient Theatres & the Day Surgery Unit. The department decontaminates equipment for surrounding GP surgeries & Dental clinics and private healthcare providers. The aim of a Sterile Services Department is to provide a decontamination service in all aspects of the decontamination lifecycle, from receipting & dismantling right through the disinfection & sterilization stages.

The vacancy will be for hours Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm, some weekends and bank holidays.

To participate in the provision of a specialised decontamination of medical
devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
To perform a full range of decontamination duties, and be accountable for
work area within department.
Manages Decontamination records in own area of work.
Provide a high quality and timely service to all customers.
Supervises, organises and allocates work and /or train less
experienced/qualified staff.
To assist with the development of the Department’s Standard Operating
Procedures in accordance with Quality Management Systems and ensure staff compliance to them.
Plan your own workload and work with minimal managerial direction.
The role routinely involves exposure to blood and body fluids.
