An exciting opportunity has arisen for Experienced Steel Fixers to work at a well-established company based in Asfordby,Melton Mowbray. As an Experienced Steel Fixer, you will be joining a company that embraces innovation and looks after their staff. The company prepares and manufactures pre-cast concrete and steel products. This is a temp/perm role which pays £17 per hour.Pay
  • £17 per hour.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Overtime available at a premium rate.
Working Hours Are
  • Monday to Friday - 7am to 3.30pm
Key Accountabilities For Experienced Steel Fixers
  • Cut and bend steel to the correct shape and size.
  • Operate bar bending machines in accordance with manufacturing standards.
  • Producing bent parts in accordance with reinforcement bar schedule.
  • Insert/reinforcement cages installation.
  • Fixing reinforcement including spacers, insets and cast in items to a variety of structures.
  • Quality checking insets and cast in fixings.
  • Inspecting steel for cleanliness and checking it is free of corrosion and damage.
Role Competencies
  • Previous experience is essential.
  • NVQ level 2 in steel fixing is desirable but not essential.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good communicator.
  • Be self-motivated and can work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
