Under the leadership of Dr Olivia Rossanese, we are seeking to appoint a Staff Scientist / Senior Staff Scientist to lead the DMPK team and overseeing all aspects of the DMPK work at the ICR Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have > 5 years’ experience and track record in preclinical, small molecule DMPK in academia or pharmaceutical industry, including evidence of significant contributions to drug discovery.

Department/Directorate Information:

About our Centre

The Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery within the Division of Cancer Therapeutics (CCDD), is a multidisciplinary bench to bedside group, comprising around 200 staff dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. The exciting goal is to discover high quality drug candidates for validated biological targets and to progress these candidates to clinical trial. All the scientific disciplines are in place to make this possible. Our world-class biologists, chemists and drug metabolism specialists work together focusing on new molecular targets emerging from human genome and ground- breaking cell biology research. This is an exciting and fast-moving area of cancer research and offers the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary environment using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment.

About our team

The DMPK team is an integral part of the Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery at the ICR. It is responsible for all PK aspects of our drug discovery projects. This includes designing, planning, and conducting in vitro and in vivo ADME experiments, devising strategies how to overcome PK issues in compounds series and determining drug levels after efficacy and tolerability studies.

The CCDD work is highly collaborative, and the DMPK team works and interacts with PK scientists from pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academic institutions and CROs.

Furthermore, there is the opportunity to be involved and contribute to clinical PK studies at the Royal Marsden Hospital, particularly for drugs discovered within CCDD.
