Job DescriptionYorkshire Clinic | Pre-Assessment Registered Nurse | Full TimeWorking as part of the Pre Assessment Team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care. Working autonomously and with the ability & clinical competence to undertake venepuncture and interpret test results to take action as necessary. A strong communicator with exceptional standards for customer service standards. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. - Immediate Life Support
- AIM
- ENB 998 or equivalent
- Diploma/degree in a health related subject
- Strong clinical background as a RGN
- Previous clinical supervisory experience
- Previous training experience or qualification in pre-assessment
- Exposure in a staff nurse role to external stakeholders such as Consultants, Physicians, Allied Health professionals, patients and suppliers
- Experience developing clinical pathways
- Ensure all patients are optimised and fit for surgery
- Work with wider hospital teams to ensure seamless patient journey
- Participate in Clinical Governance agenda, ensuring audits undertaken, investigation of incidents/complaints as required
- Participate in care delivery, acting as a role model ensuring the highest levels of professional standards
- Optimise efficient use of consumables and stock levels
- Work in line with Ramsay Policies and Procedures (IPC, Health and Safety, Clinical, HR)
- Keep equipment maintained to ensure safe care delivery
- Ensure department is clean and tidy at all times and cleaning schedules evidence cleaning and guide junior staff when required to continually manage and maintain this
- Deliver excellent service and support for Consultants, patients and visitors
- Role model customer service delivery ensuring care and services delivered is of the highest standard and this is reflected in patient’s feedback, and be the first point of contact for any complaints in the absence of departmental Sister
- High standards of record keeping to evidence quality care (care pathways, risk assessments, wound management, post op complications)
- Report incidents and support investigations enabling learning, action and changes in practices
- Display positive ‘can do’ attitude at all times
