1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
2. 8+ of Total Experience in implementing security solutions in a global, multi-tiered business unit/legal entity
3. Knowledge of UK regulations (EBA regulations, PSD2)
4. GSTRT, CISSP, CISA, CISM and/or other comparable certifications
5. Previous experience building regulatory compliant systems within payments realm, e.g. payment gateways, processors, card issuers, banks, etc.
6. Skilled in business risk analysis and making risk trade-offs, factoring short versus long-term security and business goals
7. Senior-level written and verbal communication skills

Are you a Sr. Security Compliance Specialist who can drive Security Risk and Compliance Management programs on a massive scale, with a strong passion for ownership and accountability? Are you skilled at helping customers and partners to understand their Security compliance requirements, identifying simplified solutions?

Functioning within the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance team with attention on regulatory requirements, and in alignment with our business teams, this role is integral to Information Security and Amazon Payments, accountable for our payments license and regulations relating to Security, Data protection, and Data privacy.

The ideal candidate should have a successful history of delivering best-in-class solutions, with strong security and regulatory compliance/governance background. This role requires you to possess the drive and experience to effectively scale to meet the needs within the challenging and dynamic environment we operate now, and in the future. This role requires you to be an innovative and forward thinking leveraging your in-depth knowledge to identify Information Security risks, provide recommendation of threat mitigation, and help raise the Payments Security bar, partnering with the Global Amazon Information Security team. Your ability to see the big picture and influence others will help drive the implementation of security solutions within Amazon. Your work directly impacts Customer’s Trust in Amazon, by providing secure, robust, and reliable payment services.

Responsibilities:
1. Communicate risk posture to leadership, customers, and partners. Escalate urgent issues and Risks appropriately and driving them to closure in a timely manner
2. Owns Security Governance across regulated workloads
3. Develop key risk indicators and dash-boarding
4. Evaluate known issues and partner to identify/validate root causes and solutions.
5. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups as part of the organization’s remediation effort
6. Auditee role from Security point of view across external Audits, representing Security Posture, partnering with global teams and Security experts
7. Monitor operational or security incidents that have been identified or have occurred within and/or outside the organization
8. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across varied functions and leadership levels

• Senior-level written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience driving security programs with global technology implementation efforts and roll-outs in large diverse organizations;
• Experience in risk, program management and product development;
• Experience implementing security solutions in a global, multi-tiered business unit/legal entity company;
• Previous experience building regulatory compliant systems within payments realm, e.g. payment gateways, processors, card issuers, banks, etc.;
• Skilled in business risk analysis and making technical trade-offs between short versus long-term security and business goals;
• Experience with the application of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.
