About The Role

The Roku Channel is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to drive expansion to new markets. In this role, you will leverage your online video experience and passion for driving world-class features to create a product that will ensure The Roku Channel is the best TV destination to discover and consume streaming content. You will showcase your incredible ability to collaborate, execute, and your obsessive focus on the quality of your product.Specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborate across the organisation to launch The Roku Channel into new markets
  • Working closely with business, engineering, program management, and user experience teams to define and improve existing experiences and deliver new features to The Roku Channel. Features may be based on new content categories, tuning existing capabilities to be authentic for a given market, and general enhancements that add to the overall Roku Channel experience.
  • Work with legal to understand country-specific compliance requirements, and execute on them as part of an end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Author PRDs/Feature Guides and release plans to enable the team to develop products that meet business and user needs
  • Drive feature prioritisation, process improvements, and product development with one eye on key business KPIs and the other on the quality of the product
  • Have a deep understanding of internal and external systems needed to launch new instances of The Roku Channel and to deliver features on Roku OS.
You Will Have
  • At least 5 years (but likely more) experience in product management with a focus on streaming video and large-scale advertising-based consumer-facing media products
  • Experience launching products in non-U.S. markets
  • Independent work ethic, with the ability to be productive with co-workers in U.S. time zones, as well as with the growing team in the UK.
  • An ability to articulate nuanced product requirements as well as a strong business sense that can be applied to feature definition
  • Knowledge of video enablement, including video streaming delivery, rights management, and video ads.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams as the product owner in an agile environment.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • This role will be based in Cambridge, the UK with occasional travel
