Overview:

The Northern European Hub Business Intelligence, Analytics and Operations (BI, A & O) team is the central point of authority and accountability on all data and analytics needs in the hub.

We work as a team of seven (7) providing data analysis and insights to various Brands/Business Units. Using the data/insights to tell a story and influence change and inform senior business leaders.

The position gives you the opportunity to help shape a new culture within the business using your data interpretation/visualisation skills you can share the story the data tells- interpreting and communicating analytics outputs in a way the entire business can use to facilitate better decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engage with business partners to provide solutions to problems with increased scope and complexity (by Brand or Business Unit) by identifying relevant data and providing actionable insights.
  • Develop a data driven decision making culture, challenging business partners to improve strategy, implementation and processes.
  • Create complex queries / extracts by combining multiple data sources, make new data sources available across multiple datasets- both internal and external.
  • Present the results and recommendations in front of business leaders and be able to influence / challenge business decisions.
  • Be proficient at cleaning, preparation and joining of data e.g. through Knime, AWS Glue, Business Objects.
  • Be qualified or have at least foundational experience in visualisation software and good visualisation practice.

Additional

  • Provide crucial support to end users (e.g. Sales reps, Marketing, Payer teams and others) and build good working relationships with all business units.
  • Educate, coach or check results of other Analysts on complex issues and share knowledge in the team

You will come to us with:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with an eye for detail, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced data cleaning and preparation skills (database querying, descriptive statistics) and understanding of key statistical concepts (regressions, modelling)
  • Proficient use of Excel (lookups, pivot tables etc.).
  • Understanding of local healthcare/pharmaceutical industry (e.g. Healthcare/NHS data/ NHS structure knowledge).
  • Experience of working effectively in cross-functional teams in a virtual, multi-national organisation.

Influencing & Communicating

  • Ability to tell stories based on data and present in front of business leaders
  • Ability to manage and lead projects

Additional skills and preferences:

  • Previous Pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience of Veeva and other salesforce platforms.
  • Experience in writing code (e.g. Python, SQL, Java, VBA)
