Designing award-winning products for our market-leading brands – Mira Showers, Rada and Kohler UK - is our lifeblood. We focus on investment; investing in the best technology and resources available, and investing in each and every individual. Put simply, it’s who we are. Whether you arrive at our factories in Cheltenham or Hull, have a visit from a Service Engineer or pick up the phone to our Customer Service team, you’ll instantly see that, no matter our department or location, we all share the same values at Kohler Mira.

From day one you’re part of the Kohler Mira community – a collaborative, forward focused team with a shared pride in our work and commitment to delight our customers, develop innovative products and services and inspire our people (who knew a bathroom manufacturing company did all this?!)

But, to get to where we want to be, we are looking for a Specification Manager to help support our Social Housing team. Find out more below!

Who you are

As a Specification Manager, you will be tasked with building a rolling 36-month pipeline through identifying key business opportunities of scale and term within the public-sector housing market, in line with executing Mira’s 5-year strategic plan.

You will also lead relationships, and account manage key public sector accounts, OEM’s and Contractors understanding key customer issues and opportunities, building collaborative relationships to enable effective business plans that deliver growth in line with our strategic plan.

What you’ll do

- Deliver a 36-month pipeline across top public sector accounts within your region

- Deliver Sales in accordance with our strategic plan

- Support the National Sales Manager in helping to account manage key OEM and Contractor partners in their region

- Build insightful business plans to incentivise and execute growth across our key partners

- Communicate internally across the business on market, customer and competitor insights to drive knowledge and inform commercial decision making

Interested? We are looking for these key skills

- Ideally educated to degree level; with a minimum of two years related experience in sales / marketing / customer services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Full training will be provided for the right candidate, who should be able to demonstrate a track record based on the following behaviours:

- A Customer Advocate, able to ask the right questions to understand customer goals, aligning appropriate solutions which meet their needs and deliver customer delight.

- A Trust Builder, able to quickly build rapport at all levels with both customers and colleagues. An active listener, who seeks candid performance feedback in order to make better connections and drive continuous improvement. A strong communicator and organiser, with good administration skills and a keen eye for detail. Able to build charts and pivot tables in Excel, using linked data via PowerPoint when presenting key insights. Experience of CRM systems such as C4C or Salesforce are an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

- A Curious Learner, comfortable with engaging in new or unfamiliar situations and a determination to learn. Open to new ideas, gathering varied data and viewpoints before making a decision. Someone who actively pursues new learning on the job and drives towards greater performance, takes the initiative to get things started and sees them through to completion.

- A Team Player, who meets their own commitments whilst supporting others in meeting theirs. Owns and learns from mistakes, and proactively works to correct problems. Seeks to improve upon the way we’ve always done things by understanding the reason behind current practices. Able to balance what’s best for the customer, for the business and for our associates before making decisions, seeking guidance from others as appropriate.

- A Results Deliverer, able to work on their own initiative or as part of a wider team. Seeks clarity on desired outcomes, connecting individual goals to key business results. Able to adapt performance based on changing circumstances, focusing on reality and fact to define situations and inform decisions. Able to prioritise effectively and manage time in order to achieve individual targets that drive key results.

We can offer you a lot in return!

At Kohler Mira, you’re not a number, you’re a valued member of our team (or as we like to say, an “associate”). What this means for you, is focused development that is personalised – all of the challenge you desire with all the support you need, as well as global opportunities should you desire. We also offer competitive benefits and a genuine commitment to ‘giving something back’ through our Stewardship (CSR) efforts.
