Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

The job will attract 12 PA’s at the specialty doctor scale, commiserate with level of experience. The post is available on a substantive permanent basis and will be appointed under the terms and conditions of the Welsh SAS and specialty doctor contract.

Main duties of the job

The major arterial surgery is located at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire. As an integral part of this development we have installed a state of the art Hybrid Theatre (including Interventional Radiology facilities). The Health Board has invested in a team of consultant surgeons, interventional radiologists, junior doctors, specialist nursing staff, two new IR suites and a dedicated vascular ward.

The North Wales Vascular Network provides services to a population of approximately 700,000 residents. Spoke services are provided at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
