We are seeking enthusiastic Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists to join our friendly team in West Kent. We would welcome applications from current Band 6s looking for a new opportunity or Band 5s wishing to progress their career through a development route to Band 6.

The Children’s Therapies service provides Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Care Co-ordination services to Children and Young People aged 0-19. Some children are open to one discipline, but an integrated therapy approach is offered where the support of more than one discipline is needed.

We have a opportunities to work specifically within the following areas, other opportunities will also be available: Complex Needs & AAC – within early years, mainstream schools and special schools and school age language.

We would also welcome candidates with experience in dysphagia or an interest in developing skills in this area.

We currently offer a hybrid work pattern with a combination of face to face and virtual working.

As a Speech And Language Therapist You Will

Assess and provide therapy for children/young people with speech, language and communication needs

Set and review targets/care plans with parents and education staff

Provide training, advice and support to parents and education staff

Liaise with other members of the MDT and promote joint working

Act as lead and senior practitioner to support junior staff assess and provide therapy to service users

Support in the supervision and development of staff
