Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Specialist Midwife within the Regional North Wales Perinatal Mental Health currently based at The Ablett Psychiatric Unit, Glan Clwyd Hospital.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a dynamic, motivated, experienced senior midwife with a demonstrated passion for Perinatal Mental Health as you will need to demonstrate a high level of autonomy within this role. You will work collaboratively with members of the wider perinatal MDT, with acute in-patient and community mental health services, colleagues within the maternity division and a variety of other agencies and third sector organisations in order to ensure that women and their families receive the specialist care and support they need throughout pregnancy and into the postnatal period.   • Registered Midwife
  • Awareness of political and wider health agendas relating to perinatal mental health
  • Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
  • Additional post graduate qualification in Perinatal Mental Health education
ExperienceEssential criteria
  • Midwifery clinical experience post registration
  • Experience of leading change
  • Understanding and knowledge of current issues in midwifery and NHS relating to perinatal mental health
