Specialist Learning Support Assistant Blessed George Napier Catholic School and Sixth Form is a Youth Sport Trust Lead School for Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering. An academy within The Pope Francis Catholic Multi Academy Company. We need a Specialist Learning Support Assistant To start as soon as possible 26 hours per week, term-time only [Hours of work will be between 08:30 to 15:20, Monday to Friday] Grade 6, commencing point 8 [FTE £20,493 pa] which equates to £11,993.94 per annum This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to join a friendly team of specialist LSAs giving a high level of learning support and care across the school to students with a variety of special educational needs, assisting with their day-to-day school life. The ideal candidate must be organised, with a positive outlook and an empathetic personality. They will need:-
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Be willing and able to undertake specialist training required for the role
  • Be physically fit
  • Be able to use ICT effectively All applicants must be able to demonstrate an empathy for, and understanding of, the Catholic Christian ethos of the school. This is a fixed term contract for one year, to be reviewed annually, in line with funding.
