We are delighted to offer a 1.0 WTE post as Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced clinician to join our busy and committed team. The role includes being a senior and expert decision maker, supporting colleagues in an integrated sexual health clinic. We are looking for someone passionate about teaching and training others for Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) qualifications, and a willingness to transition into the role of General Training Programme Director for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.

The appointed candidate is entitled to make a request for flexible working if they wish.

The post holder is required to demonstrate the generic capabilities for the Specialist Doctor grade, which are outline in full on NHS Employers website:

Integrated Sexual Health Clinics

Fitting and removing subdermal implants and intrauterine devices

Teaching and training are a key component of this role

The post holder is required to have a willingness to take on the role of General Training Programme Director (GTPD) for FSRH.

Sexual Health Clinics:
  • Act as a senior and expert decision maker in integrated sexual health clinics, managing the full range of presentations with the service specification of STI and contraception care.
  • Fit and remove subdermal implants and intrauterine devices.
Teaching: Teaching and training are a key component of this role.

Leadership roles: The post holder is required to have a willingness to take on the role of General Training Programme Director (GTPD) for FSRH.

Mentorship: A Trust mentoring scheme is available to specialist doctors at Homerton.
