Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist, Band 7

Fixed Term: 12 months

Part Time: 22.50 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a part-time (22.5 hours per week) band 7 psychologist to gain experience in working in prison within Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Forensic Services.

Staff in the Forensic Directorate report the highest levels of job satisfaction in a Trust recognised for positive employee feedback. The Psychology Team is warm and friendly, whilst also being dynamic and innovative.

The post is 1 year fixed term to cover maternity leave and offers great potential for the candidate to set out foundations for future development strongly supported by supervision. You will be part of a large psychological therapies department that offers a wide breadth of clinical opportunities in the community, prisons and in low and medium secure wards. The setting provides frequent opportunities for career progression and development is encouraged within the Department.

The current post is based within the mental health in-reach services in HMP Elmley. Candidates will be qualified psychologists or those approaching qualification and HCPC registration. Alternatively, you could be an experienced psychologist looking to develop your skills in a new environment in a challenging and rewarding post.

The post is based within the Kent prison cluster.
