Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Our schools near Caerphilly are looking for a Special Needs

Teaching Assistant to join a team supporting learners with

additional needs. The school is open from 8.30am – 3.30pm and staff

must be available between those hours from Monday to Friday.

Special Needs Teaching Assistants are required to work across

the school and must be flexible to work with pupils aged 3 –

Hourly Rate: £10.77

Summary Of Role

Support students closely with various subjects and tasks in

lessons

Manage behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour

Help students during meal and breaktimes.

Support personal care for students who require help.

Ensure the classroom and wider school are safe for pupils and

staff.

Work alongside a number of other teaching assistants, teachers,

and support staff.

No formal qualifications are needed to be a Special Needs

Teaching Assistant, just a positive and proactive attitude! Staff

are required to complete vetting requirements to work in schools in

Wales Including
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
  • Education Workforce Council registration
  • 2 Employment based References
  • Level 2 safeguarding qualification – FREE with Teaching
Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday

pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the

option to make this role permanent may become available at a later

date.
