Full-Time Sous Chef - To join our team and produce our new sports bar/restaurant grill / Live Events / Weddings menus.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well with a friendly, hard-working, and dedicated team. We are a family-owned Hotel, with 3 Bars, a large function room, a beer garden with an additional 140 covers, in central Weston super Mare.
The Royal Hotel, Bars and Grill is a refurbished business that is now ready to trade once lockdown restrictions are lifted. Brands in our business include The Royal Hotel, CJ’s traditional / sports bar, The Royal Grill Restaurant, and The RoyalSnack Shack. Before the pandemic we were busy, we are expecting to be even busier!!

Our team gives prominence to creating the best possible experience for all customers by providing a unique experience. Our aim is to echo this through our employees, through their hard work and dedication. When demonstrating skills such as versatility and persistence, it allows room for growth and innovation, creating new opportunities in the workplace.
We are looking for an additional 2nd chef to join us on our exciting journey, to help us create an amazing experience for all our guests. We are looking for a hard-working, dynamic individual with an enthusiastic mind, a methodical approach to working, and an eagerness to learn and develop personal skills in a practical setting.

  • The individual must be confident and have the ability to approach and communicate with a diverse group of people and challenges.
  • The individual must have good communication skills to ensure a high level of consumer satisfaction as we take pride in our relationship with our customers.
  • The individual must maintain company standards and have the ability to negotiate/resolve issues.
  • It is mandatory that you have the necessary skills to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, food service environment.

Essential requirement: * 1-3 years of relevant experience in a restaurant * Ideally 1 year in a steak house/pub or on the grill section Has supervised junior chefs * Stable background and passion to cook good food * You must be able to cook the PERFECT STEAK / BURGER and be as passionate as us. * Great eye for detail * Enjoys and wants to be an active member of a team * A sense of humor Excellent verbal communication * An understanding of what amazing guest service looks like.
Full-time, Permanent Salary: £10.00 per hour. Holiday Pay. Pension. Generous Staff Discounts. Uniform Provided. 28 Days Leave inc BH.
