The stunning family property of Woolley Grange Hotel has a superb opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join their lovely team. As well as being a fun, welcoming hotel, this year Woolley are delighted to launch a new venture with their 8 Glamping Pods, alongside a brand-new pop-up café, to make the most of the season with casual dining under cover and al fresco.

    • Great staff meals whilst on duty. What you’ll be doing: You will hold yourself to a high culinary standard and it is your attention to each preparation that keeps guests wanting more. Working with a team of inspired chefs and an exceptional Head Chef, you will learn something different every day as you work with new seasonal menus and unique presentations.
    • Leading by example you will help build and maintain a professional, efficient, safe and enjoyable kitchen environment. You will support the Sous and Head Chef in motivating the team to produce a consistently high standard of meal service in both bistro and a la carte styles. You will have a proven experience in all areas of food preparation and design.

      Working to strict budgets and sales targets, you will be results orientated and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times. What we’re looking for:
    • Great teamwork skills and attention to detail.
    • Previous experience working within a kitchen environment at a supervisory level.
      • A relevant culinary qualification to a minimum of level 2, and a food hygiene certificate is desirable.
      • A positive, welcoming attitude with excellent communication skills.
      • To be highly motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism in all interactions
      • The ability to deal calmly with unexpected situations and crises.
      • Creative interest in food and menu design
      • Ability to organise and plan work and that of your team.
      • Very high cleanliness and hygiene standards
      • A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Others may call you a foodie, but you know you’re much more than that.
