A restaurant based at a newly refurbished holiday resort in Derbyshire is seeking a Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and paperwork is all up to date. The restaurant has simple, well produced menus that feature a traditional British pub dishes as well as offering a takeaway service. As Sous Chef you will join the team of six working in the kitchen cooking for large numbers during the peak season and ensuring the company procedures are followed consistently. You will be required to cover service during the Head Chefs days off so it is vital that you are competent at managing a team remaining calm during busy periods. Requirements: The ideal candidate for this role will have been working as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a food led pub or branded restaurant where you were cooking fresh food. An ambitious chef seeking a role that can offer you progression within a company would be ideal. All round cooking skills in the kitchen are essential for this role.
