????‍???? We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie / Sous Chef and an Apprentice Chef to join our team at The Old Vicarage Wedding & Events Venue, in Hinton, Christchurch. As we are an events venue, the working hours are much better than working in a standard restaurant.

Please note: No experience required for Apprentice position

Can you do all this whilst overseeing the running of the kitchen?

The Old is a busy six-bedroom country house set in 10 acres of gardens. As an exclusive-use events venue we specialise in Weddings, but also cater for Birthdays, Christenings, Funeral Teas, Baby Showers, Anniversaries etc.

-Passionate about food
-Highly presentable with a bright personality, as you will be customer facing during events
-Excellent kitchen skills
-A can-do attitude to deliver first class food working well with your team
-Fantastic organisational skills
-Event catering experience

Your responsibilities as the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef will include, but not limited to:
- Liaising with the Front of House in the preparation of events.
- Acting as a Role Model for the team.
-Ordering stock.
-Leading the kitchen staff
-Cooking and serving of meals & buffets for events (approx 120 daytime / 200 evening)
-Ensuring kitchen is kept clean and tidy
-Maintaining records and files for health and safety
-Rotas

Great work/life balance, with straight shifts - prep days being standardly 9am-4pm and event days approximately 12pm-10pm.
