Job Purpose

The Sourcing Manager is a part of the Red Rock Power Limited Procurement team and allocated to various projects or teams to provide procurement support to the Project / team. The Sourcing Manager will take responsibility for the tendering and contractual management for assigned contracts / package.

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for collecting market intelligence and create an overview of the market situation for the different areas. The market information will be a wide range of information going from a cost break down of a product to the expected technology development in an area in the coming years.

The Sourcing Manager will use the market intelligence to support both Asset Management and the M&A team in due diligence processes and benchmark analysis. The market intelligence will also be an important part of all preparation before a negotiation for as contract.

Job Description

Tendering and contract award process

• Own and run the full tendering process in cooperation with Package Manager and Engineering for own package area.

• Be responsible for the commercial part of tenders including conditions of contract;

• Be responsible for running prequalification.

• Be responsible for the commercial aspects of the tendering process;

• Engage with Package Managers and Engineering team members to ensure that tender and contract terms match scope and deliverable requirements;

• Assessment and benchmarking of tender offers;

• Detailed and robust negotiation of pricing with bidders;

• Be the lead of the negation team at negotiation with bidders.

• Engage with Legal when needed on tendering and contract issues.

Be responsible for the commercial evaluation of the bids in a tender and work with Package Managers and Engineering to produce contract award recommendations and present to senior management for approval.

• Keep the costing form system updated with the most recent data, for the different kind of renewable energy projects

• Support the project procurement with should cost analysis, cost break downs and general support for the tenders

• Support Asset Management with cost analysis and benchmark for existing contracts

• Support to M&A Team with due diligence and benchmark analysis
