We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level. #TJ Your future duties and responsibilities: Our solution architects bridge the gap between the technical team, business team and project management, defining and validating quality solutions for an engagement, whether this be as part of a bid or delivery programme. Our technical architects lead the detailed design and implementation of the solution. On larger engagements you will be part of a team supporting the lead architect. We are looking for established and experienced architects, as well as those who have made the transition into architecture more recently.Our architects have a strong technology background and can address all aspects of the solution (conceptual, logical and physical) - working with stakeholders understand requirements and objectives as well as working closely with delivery teams to ensure that the architectural vision is maintained, whilst adapting the architecture to changing circumstances in an agile manner.Our architects have a deep interest in how technology can meet business needs and are driven to ensure all aspects of a solution are addressed - functional, non-functional, risk and cost. They also have an enquiring mind and are constantly learning - whether it is a new business domain or technology.As an Architect within CGI you will be part of an extensive community of practitioners, sharing knowledge and insight with each other and applying the principles behind our risk and cost driven architecture approach that ensures our clients achieve their goals through successful engagements.A CGI career will offer you a complete tech experience, where you have control over your future.You’ll also discover:

  • Relevant experience as a solution architect or technical architect - we need all levels so even if you’re just moving into this type of role we’ll be keen to hear from you
  • Experience in aligning the selection and application of technology with the business and customer goals and experience in architecture development and governance, overseeing all aspects of a solution from conceptual to physical
  • Experience in working with Stakeholders and others to shape and communicate the overall solution, define the user experience, processes (using formal and informal notation), requirements and non-functional requirements.
  • Knowledge of modelling approaches such as UML, Archimate and Data modelling is desirable along with knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and experience in an agile environment
  • Experience in data modelling (at conceptual and logical level)
  • Experience of a wide range of technologies and approaches, including: Public Cloud Solutions, API and Integration technologies; Micro Services; Data Storage and Analytics and Digital Transformation.
