Spencer Scott is currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect on behalf of a leading Financial Services Technology company based in the Crawley, West Sussex area (1 day a week on-site). The Solution Architect will be joining a Global team, contributing towards the development of a suite of cutting-edge software solutions used across a variety of industry-leading financial services sub-sectors.

The Solution Architect will play a key role in the initial design phase of various Greenfield projects, working closely with technical (Software Development, QA, Testing) and non-technical teams to define the strategy and solution behind the project roadmap. The successful Solution Architect will be working as part of an Agile delivery environment which promotes open communication and collaboration to ensure flexible and fluid delivery. From a technical perspective, the Solution Architect should come from a Microsoft background having worked with technologies such as C#, .Net, SQL Server, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices etc..

We’re seeking Solution Architects that have the following experience:

  • Experience architecting desktop and cloud-based SaaS solutions in Azure.
  • Sound experience as a software engineer, using .NET C#.
  • Experience developing high-performance, scalable, data-driven, and extensible solutions.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Security best practices.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, docker, microservice development, and deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document architecture decisions (e.g. using C4 diagrams).
  • Ability to evolve existing solutions towards next-generation technologies and architectures.
  • Overseeing technical implementations undertaken by multiple scrum teams, still hands-on and close to the code as required.
