The Role

The Software Systems Specialist is responsible for assisting the Senior Systems Specialist in developing, administering and maintaining Hemingway’s software systems and applications with particular focus on the company’s Automated task software, SQL Databases, applications developed in-house (C#) and the transfer and manipulation of data to and from various sources.

Main Duties

  • Support and maintain Hemingways software systems
  • Develop and support bespoke applications and integration systems.
  • Support Hemingways database systems
  • Ensure the integrity of business information.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties who integrate and interact with Hemingways systems
  • Maintain secure systems in alignment with PCI and DPA standards.
  • Ensure change management processes are followed for system/software changes.
  • Document IT systems and processes.
  • Provide advice and support to other IT team members.
  • Provide advice and support to other business areas and staff.
Secondary Duties

  • Positively promote the company’s policies and standards.
  • Assist in other areas of the business during peak periods.
