Our people can be based “where they do their best work” from either our HQ or from their home. However occasional travel to HQ office will be required for key meetings and events.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Mid-Level) with a passion for games, simulation, and UE4 to work across our Train Sim World titles.

  • Contribute to core development on our Train Sim World franchise, including rendering, physics, gameplay, tools and more.
  • Work within a team of software engineers on a personal level
  • Contribute toward decisions on overall software architecture.
  • Support junior members of the team.
  • Help create the best possible environment to help the team succeed.
  • Understand and contribute toward best practises within the team, including coding standards and review processes.
  • Participate in planning and estimation of work on the backlog.
Required
  • Professional experience and strong knowledge of C++
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good software engineering skills, with an ability to program clearly, efficiently, and evolve your style and practices where required.
  • Good understanding of debugging, profiling, analysis, and optimisation
  • A passion to deliver quality simulation software.
Preferred
  • Experience building games in UE4.
  • Degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • A working knowledge of version control systems
