Role: Junior Software Engineer

What you will do:

The position should have the ability to work on basic software development assignments. The role will focus on product development using the latest technologies as well as exist architecture and product maintenance with the work on open-source products. You will need to work closely with Bas, QAs and other Dev members to finalize requirements and deliver any feature is assigned. Writing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.

Qualifications:

· BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Key Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.
  • Basic understanding of data modelling principles.
  • Knowledge of data storage subsystems.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: C# (.NET Framework/Core), JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML, MongoDB, Windows.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
  • Basic oral and written communications skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • AWS
  • Kafka
  • JIRA and Git
  • industry best practices
  • scripting with PowerShell

Accountabilities:

  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity.
  • Complete simple bug fixes.
  • Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve basic technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • All other duties as assigned.
