We are designing and defining an integrated experiences to enable the best of collaboration experiences and deliver that as a solution to lead Cisco’s vision of Hybrid working with Cisco Webex and other Cisco portfolio.

We are looking for a Software Development Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with management and technical skills to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment leading a team of software engineers.

Who You’ll Work With

You will lead our amazing Automation team as part of Workplace Collaboration organization at Cisco. Working in a globally distributed team you will be involved from design through implementation to DevOps delivery. Using CI/CD, automation, and cloud to build ultra-scalable platforms. You will lead teams in the delivery of software and providing mentoring, coaching to the team to grow talent to next level.

You are a motivated Manager who can lead a team of Software Engineers. You will work in an Agile development team with product owners to scope, develop and deliver world-class software solutions. You will have an understanding of the systems and technology as they relate to the end-to-end developer workflow.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals such as executive leadership is a requirement.
Key Qualifications
  • Typically requires BSc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree with 10+ years of work experience in related field or MSEE/CS with 5+ years of related architecture and engineering related experience.
  • Management experience with equivalent sized organizations (Fortune 500) is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding/knowledge/hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, high impact development infrastructure, issue tracking.
  • Skilled in one or more development languages e.g. Java, Python, C++ and good understanding of CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Cisco collaboration portfolio (Webex applications and devices, Unified Communications Manager, Video Devices & IP Phones)
  • Understanding of and/or certified in Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Comfortable working in agile organization & teams, leveraging Kanban or scrum boards.
  • Knowledge of JIRA Cloud, JIRA Align
