The opportunity We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic Test Engineer to join our innovative team. You will have the opportunity to develop your career by helping to drive the reduction in carbon emissions and shape the future of smart energy technologies. Key responsibilities include: Establishing the approach to be taken on testing new products and releases (challenges, automation, s/w architecture) Playing a leading role in Implementing geos OO python (and robot framework) test automation infrastructure including stimulus generation, checking and interface components Generating test plans and test cases Contributing to the product specification, ensuring it is sufficient to develop comprehensive test plans Implementing and executing test plans using automation where practical Maintaining test plans and automation, implementing improvements where required Representing system test in product release meetings, including presenting test results and traceability Contributing/leading to the continual test methodology improvements About you You will have proven experience of delivering software based products and be able to demonstrate technical expertise in one or more areas: Experience in software and hardware system test / validation Experience with our toolchain of Jira/BitBucket/Testrail/Jenkins would be advantageous Proven ability to transform requirements into effective test plans & scripts Strong OO scripting skills, ideally in python and the robot framework A good degree in a relevant subject or demonstrably excellent technical skills & knowledge Proven ability to work effectively in an agile team at all phases of product development Enthusiastic self-starter with good attention to detail Experience or a strong interest in consumer IoT and wireless HAN/LAN communication protocols What we can offer you We offer the chance to work with talented and passionate people who genuinely care about each other and respect everyones role across team and ability.
