Affordable housing, good schools, a vibrant city, beautiful countryside and an enviable coastline. What is there not to like about living and working in Norfolk? In West Norfolk we have a great team of dedicated social workers who are focused on promoting and supporting people to keep them independent, resilient and well.

You can join us as part of our community team in Kings Lynn holding your own caseload and supported by our friendly community team.

West Norfolk is an area of contrast and beauty situated close to the borders of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and home to the town of Kings Lynn – a traditional fishing town with fine medieval merchant’s houses, Guildhall, Town Hall and Minster Church along with two traditional and historic marketplaces with fine Georgian and medieval architecture. It also has two marketplaces – Saturday and Tuesday. The area has 3 railway stations along with hourly trains on the mainline to Ely, Cambridge and London, making it a perfect location for easy travelling to and from the area.

Not only do we have the benefit of a beautiful location, we’re investing in social care and changing the conversation for social work to support people to be independent, resilient and well and provide better outcomes. We’re committed to continuous professional development and you can work flexibly; our technology platform and equipment are first class enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. All our office-based roles are currently working from home as part of our Smarter Working plans and to support the health and safety of all our colleagues. We anticipate that working remotely will be a key feature of this role and when offices re-open your office base will be discussed with your line manager. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
