Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Specialist Mental Health Personal Advisor Team to work fulltime based in Wandsworth.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £43,785 per annum.

Main Duties
  • Alongside the Transitions Social Worker and the Therapeutic service within the team, you will act as a lead Practitioner within the team for Mental Health; disseminating good practice, engaging in Team Meetings to present colleagues with information and advice and acting as a Mental Health practice reference point for PA colleagues.
  • Bring together, develop and regularly review a multi-agency Pathway Plan around and with the young person and proactively work with the young person to achieve their targets.
  • Promote and model effective working arrangements with Mental Health services and other voluntary and community partners to support Care Experienced young people.
  • Develop a good understanding of evidence-based practice and integrate models of best practice into day-today service delivery.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and clinical risk assessing and liaising with mental health services across different boroughs/areas.
  • Take part in case/practice audits and contribute to peer audit arrangements as required.
  • Actively contribute to team working, supporting colleagues, covering for colleagues in their absence and taking part in team meetings and development events.
  • Understand and integrate into practice the key polices of the Council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration and whole family approaches.
  • Demonstrate a high level of competence and confidence in the use of the Council electronic case recording/reporting tool, maintaining accurate and up-to-date child records in compliance with the Integrated Children’s System.
  • Enhance and promote the reputation of the Council as a provider of high-quality services to children and families.
  • To comply with relevant Codes of Practice, including the Code of Conduct and polices concerning data protection and health and safety.
  • To promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, maintaining an awareness of the equality and diversity protocol/policy and working to create and maintain a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity and their identity and culture are valued and respected.
Requirements Of This Social Worker
  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Children’s Services.
  • Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
