Plants Galore are the largest specialist garden plant retailer in the Southwest employing over 100 staff across 6 horticultural nurseries.

Our company seek an experienced graphic designer / Web Site and Marketing Manager to join our established team and assist with marketing tasks and projects as follows:

  • Weekly Garden Centre Point of Sale Production
  • Brochure artwork and design
  • Catalogue artwork and design for garden plants, horticultural dry goods and Christmas
  • Web Site artwork, development, and site management
  • Production of employment brochure and developing staff training portal
  • Weekly Facebook and social media management
  • CCTV management – all sites
  • Implementation and management of Epos system
  • Other marketing projects to promote the business

This is an important role working alongside the our marketing and office managers on key marketing projects to grow the business in the next three years. The role would suit applicants who want to be fully committed to the company actively impacting the success of the business as part of our larger management team.

Skills required for this position:

  • Excellent Graphic Design skills and experience at producing brochures / catalogues / etc
  • Previous marketing understanding, knowledge, and experience
  • Web Site Development and management experience
  • Wide range of marketing skills and experience
  • Ability to be flexible on work duties to include general admin when required
  • Excellent general I.T. skills with good knowledge of excel spread sheets and word documents
  • Good levels of English – both spoken and written

Details of this role:

  • The role would require applicants to work Monday to Friday with occasional support needed with key busy weekends throughout the year – to be discussed at the interview
  • 35 hours to 40 hours per week – normally 8am to 5pm
  • Holiday is pro rata based on hours worked – approx. 28 days
  • The role will be supported by full on-site training by one of our office managers
  • We can offer between £13 and £15 per hour depending on your experience and suitability – this equates to £27,000 to £31,000 per annum
  • After six months, applicants will be given the option of joining our bonus scheme which increases hourly pay by approx. 10% - this incentive scheme is based on personal performance and company sales results.
