Out There Media is looking for a Social Media Channel Manager who will be responsible for planning and posting day-to-day content on multiple platforms.

Your primary focus will be running accounts on Instagram, TikTok & Facebook for one of the world’s largest energy drink brands. This will require you to gain an in-depth knowledge of the brand including its core athletes and projects.

You’ll be working with incredible content from the worlds of extreme sports, live events and documentaries.

You must be a driven creative individual with strong storytelling capabilities and a passion for growing online communities through community management.

The role will also require you to work across some smaller channels. This includes our own Instagram and pages owned by local clients, with the goal of helping small businesses grow their following, and increase brand awareness within their local community.

The role will consist of:

  • Working with clients to consistently develop social media strategies.
  • Mapping out posts weeks in advance to help us meet deadlines and stay on top of upcoming projects.
  • Writing captions that match the clients tone of voice and include all necessary details & tags.
  • Posting on all major social media platforms. Primarily : Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook but also YouTube, Twitter and Discord if requested.
  • Researching and providing ideas for new content, which can be made for the channels by our in house video editors.
  • Checking in with video editors to maintain a birds-eye-view over all content as it moves through the production pipeline and becomes ready to post.
  • Sourcing assets from various media databases.
  • Research and script writing for text-on-screen explainer edits and voice overs.
  • Occasionally providing on-location support to assist with social filming on shoots and during live events. This will sometimes include having to travel for work and overnight stays where necessary.
  • Working across various brands and striving to replicate their core messaging and communication style.
  • Community management - Replying to comments and engaging with the audience, liking and commenting on content posted by other channels within our community.
  • Working to meet specific deadlines & targets.
  • Reporting on channel performance using analytics.
  • Creating documents and presentations to show performance over time and discuss future goals.
  • Presenting your findings to your manager and clients to help develop and influence upcoming strategies.

What previous experience do you need?

  • 3 years + experience working professionally within the social media industry.
  • Previous experience posting on social media platforms for a large entity or publication.
  • An in-depth understanding of how content is packaged differently for various online platforms.
  • Using third party software to manage workflows and schedule posts.
  • Understanding of analytics tools.
  • Have previously reported on channel growth regularly and used your findings to improve a channel.
  • Community management (can show previous comment replies and ways of engaging with a community)
  • Preferred but not required: A basic understanding of Adobe softwares such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Salary: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Salford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (preferred)
