Social Media Assistant - 6 Month FTC
FULL TIME: 37.5 hours
CONTRACT: Fixed Term Contract - 6 months
LOCATION: Cannock, Staffordshire
SALARY : £9.02 per hour

The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to support the Social Media Specialist in managing the organisations multiple social media channels, creating content and responsive customer service. You will be responsible for drafting communications in mixed formats across both divisions of the charity structure.
The ideal candidate will be able to understand target audiences and acquire data to fit strategies in order to create social content that is varied, relevant, engaging and interesting for a range of followers. Including clients, customers, families, professionals, potential funders and the general public.
In addition, you will actively monitor social trends and news and report to the digital team on those that are relevant to our campaign tasks.

What We Are Looking For

Experience using back-end tools to coordinate and schedule social media activity like Hootsuite and Canva desirable but not essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good copy experience, including the ability to assess and correct content to adhere to our tone of voice and brand guidelines Excellent administrative approach and ability to create, update and manage plans for content delivery. Responsive communications and customer service. Creativity and ability to come up with new ideas to increase brand awareness on our social media channels. Experience in using multiple social media channels such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn and emerging platforms such as TikTok, Clubhouse, etc. Video and Photography skills desirable but not essential. Strong IT skills.
