Overview:

They are looking to appoint a Digital Marketing apprentice with initiative, drive and enthusiasm to join the school in a key supporting role.

The successful applicant will be at the forefront of driving St Leonard’s online presence and marketing activity whilst also supporting with other ad-hoc IT, data-related and admin duties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing and managing our social media strategy
  • Managing and overseeing our social media content and promoting the school on these platforms
  • Maintenance of school websites, ensuring statutory compliance is met; updating and publishing new content on a regular basis.
  • Create marketing strategies and social media campaigns to enhance the schools presence in the area and local community
  • Bringing innovative ideas to the table to help promote and market the school within the region
  • Analysing data and the success of marketing activity and looking at continuous improvement for future campaigns
  • Working with the Head Teacher and stakeholders regarding marketing plans

Marketing, Data and IT will be the main focus of the role but the individual will also be expected to support with various additional ad-hoc admin related duties.

Essential skills:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent word processing skills
  • Ability to use IT systems effectively
  • Proficient and actively engaged with various social media platforms

Desirable skills:

  • Skills and aptitude in creative media and/or video
  • Knowledge of CMS (content management systems for websites)
  • Prior work experience in a school or similar position

Personal qualities:

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Personable with the ability to relate both adults and children
  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm
  • Willingness to learn and participate in continuous learning and development
  • Creative flair

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE’s:

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

Future prospects:

Individuals who successfully complete the Digital Marketer apprenticeship may be considered for permanent posts within the school and offered longer-term development opportunities.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
