Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Scotland, is currently looking to recruit a Skills Investment Adviser for an initial 8 month contract on a salary of £32,794 - £38,252 pro rata. Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities
  • Actively manage National Training Programme (NTP) contracts of training providers (including private training providers, colleges, local authorities and employers) to ensure the providers are delivering a quality learning experience and positive outcomes for individuals.
  • Ensure appropriate performance management and reporting of NTP contracts, support quality assurance assessment visits and drive forward provider progress with their quality action plans. Contracts are of varying scale and complexity covering a range of initiatives.
  • Act on variances reported by the Commissioning Team for their portfolio of Training Provider contracts to ensure delivery against the contract key performance levels
  • Undertake NTP contract review visits in accordance with the level of service defined and complete standardised visit reports identifying actions as appropriate
  • Conduct employer and trainee visits to gather feedback on the quality of training being delivered
  • Provide qualitative information on provider performance
  • Undertake follow up action where validation linked to participant registration, progress or outcomes prompts investigation to ensure data records entered by the provider are accurate and up to date
  • Support providers to ensure implementation and progress with their quality assurance action plan and champion quality improvement
  • Attend partnership activities for the promotion of the organisation’s products and services as required
  • Work with colleagues from other departments ensuring that collaboration results increased participation rates and more effective delivery of our business
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrable work-related experience or Educated to Degree Level (SCQF Level 9)
  • Experience of contract / account / project management processes
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to react to changing demands and deadlines
  • Ability to influence and constructively challenge
  • Experience of working with partners in the delivery of services
  • Ability to prepare written reports - presenting information accurately and consistently
  • Practical application of management information systems and associated reports
  • Good numerical and IT skills
  • Good understanding of the range of NTPs
Desirable Skills
  • Sound working knowledge of NTP contract management including programme specifications and conditions
  • Good knowledge of training infrastructure and delivery
  • Good investigation & analytical skills
