The Skills Booster Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to plan, deliver and manage a suite of personal development sessions to young people across our network of educational settings. The role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, engaging a diverse mix of young people, building relationships with, and managing a caseload of educational settings. You will be expected to deliver a suite of engagement sessions tailored to suit the needs of the educational establishment, working closely with the Skills Booster Management Team.
The successful candidate will be experienced in youth work delivery, account management, and be creative with the ability to adapt session content to suit to the demographic of students across the board.
You will be involved in some interesting day to day responsibilities, such as:

  • Engaging with young people in an educational setting
  • Planning and delivering quality sessions in a school environment across a suite of subjects
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of young people
  • Leading on the delivery of Teacher Meetings to effectively plan school support engagement
  • Data entry onto CRM system including session evaluations within required timeframes
  • Responsibility of all mainstreams, non-mainstream, college, and non-school channels
  • Designing and implementing a suite of engagement sessions
  • Engaging directly with stakeholders such as school leads and external partners
  • Acting as role model and mentor in youth engagement and delivery activities
  • Seasonal staff responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating their skills to support the programme

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable team player with excellent communication skills who has experience designing and delivering activities and presentations that engage young people, someone who can work under pressure and manage multiple priorities at the same time. Experience working within the youth sector through either NCS programmes, schools, youth camps or similar is a must.
Due to the nature of the role, all candidates are expected to have a full, clean drivers licence with access to a car, as this role will involve travelling to location sites. Overnight hotel stays may be required at times.This is a fixed term position until the end of December 2021 and will be based across East Midlands. On offer is a salary between £20,750 - £24,350, depending on experience.
