Job Title: Skilled Operative (Open Product)
Location: Nantwich, CW5 6DN
Hours: Working Hours: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm (rotating shifts) and 10pm-6am (fixed shift) available
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Grade/Rate: Up to £11.70 per hour (extra £1 per hour for nightshift). Overtime shifts available dependant on business needs and paid at premium rates

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Open Product Area
Understands waste procedures
Stripping of cheese
Operation of open product machine (i.e. block cutting)
Operation of catching product/filling trays
Operation of bagging unit
Operation of manual & automatic vacuum machines

This role would also involve cover of machine operative duties that include but are not limited to the below;

Daily operation of the (Ilpack and Sandicure) machinery safely and efficiently to produce top quality products.
Report and/or correct safety issues. Maintain safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
Responsible for accurate product/package/code changes.
CIP duties and surface foaming with mechanical cleaning for all other areas in accordance with specified cleaning schedules.
Machine set up and changeovers for manufacturing operations. This includes following work instructions for equipment set up/ changeovers and following all work standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Set up & replace tooling on various equipment.
HACCP and Food Safety level

Ideally, candidates should have experience of working in a Food Manufacturing environment, including, setting up Production lines and providing regular progress updates using internal systems
Good verbal, written and numerical skills are essential.
Good understanding of Food Hygiene, quality and safety standards.
Able to work to strict standards of quality and accuracy in line with procedures alongside working in a methodical, systematic and precise manner.
