Sixth Form Coordinator Required

Ark John Keats Academy, Enfield

ASAP Start, Permanent role

£25,247 per annum

The Supply Register are currently working alongside Ark John Keats Academy in Enfield to find a Sixth Form Coordinator to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time role.

As sixth form coordinator you will provide support and accountability to sixth form students, helping them with their academic and pastoral development. You will support the pastoral and teaching team by leading on key administration and logistics in the sixth form and supervising students in the study areas, as well as providing additional capacity across the rest of the secondary phase as appropriate and if required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive climate and culture in and around the sixth form centre by proactively supervising and engaging with students during study and break times.
  • Ensure the common room and sixth form centre is safe and well organised.
  • Provide administrative support to the KS5 leadership team.
  • Oversee registration of students and support with attendance
  • To be a key contact for students requiring assistance in the Sixth Form, including assisting with first aid and welfare duties when necessary
  • Cover Sixth Form lessons or Form Time when teachers are unavailable.
  • Liaise with parents and students.
  • To support the KS5 leadership team and other pastoral teams in an administrative capacity, including:
    • producing correspondence and reports, sometimes of a confidential nature
    • dealing with telephone and personal enquiries efficiently and effectively in a way which promotes a positive image of the academy.
    • To assist with relevant meetings as requested
    • To support wider activities across the secondary phase as appropriate and if needed.
    • To undertake any task as directed by the Headteacher or member of SLT.

    Requirements

    • Experience of running effective administrative systems, preferably in a school environment
    • Experience of data entry into databases and other IT systems
    • Excellent communication, writing and editing skills.
    • Excellent organization and time-management skills
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and anticipate others’ needs.
    • Able to manage several projects at once, prioritising accordingly to meet all deadlines.
    • Able to take ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision.
