Site Operative

About the role

We are TRL, a leading organisation in Infrastructure Asset Management with a core focus on highways and pavement surveys and investigations. Our mission is creating clean and efficient transport that is safe, reliable, and accessible for everyone.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Site Operative to join our team. You will be experienced in supervising specialist highway/pavement site surveys and sampling where you ensure work is completed to deliver quality data to our clients alongside the safety of your team and all those you are working with.

You will be practical, able to remain calm in busy working environments and a hands-on good team player who is flexible and adaptable to working on a range of tasks, services and projects.

The role will be based at our Wokingham depot in Berkshire to support regions across the UK. The role will require travel primarily in the UK, with the need to work away from home on shifts (mainly night working) when undertaking surveys. The standard working week is 37 hours plus the potential ability to earn overtime and unsociable hours’ payment.

About you

You will ideally have experience in all or some of the areas below:

• Experience in hands on working, operation of different equipment and vehicles
• Experience working in road closures and construction sites
• Ability to read plans
• Hold a CSCS card
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Hold a valid driving license
• Keen to work in and outside of an office environment
• Keen to learn new skills
