Reporting to the Construction Manager; your role as Site Manager is to take responsibility for delivering our schemes on time and within budget, whilst ensuring all is completed and operated in a safe environment and with excellent quality.

You will be encouraged to think for yourself, use your initiative and help your team work more effectively. You will help us raise standards across all our sites — ensuring that everything from communication, health and safety, project and strategy, to risk management, monitoring and reporting are always delivered and to the highest possible quality.

We are looking for you to have previous site management and leadership experience in residential house building. You will need experience in building effective and high-performing teams, managing diversity, motivating others, be a great communicator and comfortable with delegation and conflict management.

Over 10,000 people are waiting for an affordable home in four of our local authority areas (Lichfield, Tewkesbury, Cotswolds and South Gloucestershire) along with tens of thousands more across the rest of our geography. As a Site Manager With Bromford, You Will Be
  • A Site Manager or vastly experienced Assistant Site manager with experience in residential house building
  • An SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card holder
  • Bringing the experience of managing a site of direct reports as large as 50 people
  • Ideally from a house builder/developer background
  • Experienced in managing and leading a team and supervising all sub-contractors and trade
  • Ensuring that all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Supporting the scheduling of work to be carried out to ensure targets and a high-quality product is maintained
  • Managing the construction process of your schemes efficiently, ensuring costs are within budget
  • Taking ownership of, and responsible for, agreeing build programmes at pre-start meetings and handovers
  • Managing scheme handover to ensure minimum snagging
  • Regularly monitoring and liaising with the construction manager on the scheme programme and progress, as required
  • Expected to complete all relevant training and development activities, as and when required
  • At all times, complying with company policies, procedures and instructions

Your previous experience may be in roles such as site manager, assistant site manager, construction manager, amongst others.

We currently have 2 positions available which are both full time, permanent and covering sites based in Cheltenham & Gloucester, with travel between multiple sites, so you must have a full, clean driving licence. Take a look at our YouTube videos to find out more about working at Bromford.
