Job Description

Our client is an established firm currently looking for a Site Manager with an Internal fit out and/or Carpentry background. Are you a Site Manager with experience managing works and teams with a variation of different trade skills? This is a great opportunity where you will be able to progress your career whilst working on a range of challenging and interesting projects.

The Role
  • Management of Works Package
  • Manage reactive and planned works inclusive of internal fit out, carpentry, plumbing, decorating and finishes.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple live works across different sites.
  • Create, plan and understand the works schedule and maintain/modify as required to achieve targets and goals.
  • Specify, quantify, and order materials as required for assigned jobs.
  • Ensure that assigned jobs are maintained to Company Standards.
  • Ensure that assigned jobs are supervised in line with RAMS.
  • Complete and amend RAMS for assigned works, inclusive of reviewing the RAMS of others.
  • Supervision of company personnel and/or contractors on site.
  • Ensure that assigned jobs adhere to the clientHealth & Safety Policy.
  • Provide regular updates to the delivery team.
  • Provide updates to the customer and/or site contact.
  • Provide client/customer liaison while on assigned jobs as required.
  • Be involved with commercial decisions with the customer on behalf of client, including variations, schedules, and costings.
  • Surveying and Quantifying
  • Complete site surveys and provide detailed information to aid the office in producing quotations.
  • Meet with subcontractors to supervise and advise / determine scope of works for quoting.
  • Source quoting opportunities with new and existing customers.
Desirable Requirements To The Role
  • Qualifications / Experience
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Construction relevant qualification - site based or office based.
  • SMSTS / IOSH
  • CSCS Card (Trade/Management)
  • Experience in a site based Carpentry role
  • Personal Qualities
  • Capable of working within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Good customer service.
  • Understanding of working within an SME.

  • Comfortable working as part of a small cohesive team.
