Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, has a brand new opening for a Site Finance Business Partner to join our Actuation business (c$700m turnover business) and specifically the- NASCOM Value Stream. We’re open on location and this role can be based out of our Wolverhampton or Banbury site!

A high profile role within the Wolverhampton finance team overseeing full P&L management, balance sheet controls and compliance and cash performance within the NASCOM Value Stream. Working alongside the Finance Director you will develop the monthly forecast, annual and strategic plans. You will be responsible for monitoring performance to the plan and forecast on a weekly basis, highlighting any significant gaps, working with the Value Stream to identify recovery plans.

This role reports to the Finance Director and will entail working closely with the Operations and Engineering leads to execute and monitor sales and profitability to plan and ensure cost reduction initiatives are aligned to our financial targets. Analysis is including, and not limited to, productivity, efficiency, scrap, pricing and cost controls.

This is a critical role where you will a No.2 to the Finance Director and will be a key member of the wider Value Stream team directly responsible for meeting or beating monthly, quarterly and annual financial commitments (Sales, EBIT & Cash) whilst ensuring to operate a best in class controls and compliance environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Be the finance champion & partner with various functions to ensure robust financial controls are in place, any financial risks and opportunities are understood and managed through the change board process
  • Providing strategic and decision making support to the business development team as required
  • Develop, direct and drive a cost reduction mindset throughout the value stream
  • Engage with the engineering management team providing strategic support and proactively managing investment decisions driving long term sustainable value.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial control policies and procedures consistent with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, international accounting standards and all applicable international legal and statutory requirements are in place
  • Directly manage the day to day tasking, coaching and development of a team of Finance Analysts that support the value stream, ensuring all requirements are delivered to the correct standard
  • Partner with the Value Stream FD to design and execute the Value Stream Strategic goals.
Experience And Skills
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Commercial experience of bids and proposals and program pricing are desirable
  • Knowledge of UK, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley legislation
  • You will have gained experience working ideally in an engineering ,industrial, Product or FMCG sector
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the determination to succeed
  • An operational/commercial bias, with good understanding of business cases
  • Ability to present confidently in front of senior management
  • Fantastic Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with SAP
  • Effective decision maker and financial business partner
  • Ability to influence and motivate management and financial colleagues.
