We’re looking for a Site Engineer to join our Oxford Station team based in Oxford, Oxfordshire. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you’ll be working within the Oxford Station team, supporting with Network Rail, the delivery of Oxford Station Phase 2 works which will increase capacity through Oxford Station to accommodate additional services planned from 2024.

Your day to day will include:

  • You’ll assist in preparing as-built drawings and managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed.

  • You’ll provide engineering support to make sure technical issues are resolved and you will be responsible for setting out works (Highways and Structures).

  • You’ll aid in recording and testing workmanship and materials, as well as regularly check the setting out points. The Site Engineer will make sure all setting out works are delivered to site with the required certificates.

  • You’ll make use of Leica Survey equipment and of AutoCAD

  • You’ll manage the daily diaries and be proficient in performing Quality Checks, escalating any non-conformances.


What do we need from you?

This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have one of the following qualifications: PTS/SMSTS/First Aid/IOSH – Avoiding Danger From Underground Services

  • You have an outgoing, energetic individual who has good problem-solving skills with exceptional commercial and contractual awareness.

  • You’ll have previous experience in a similar role and hold a valid full UK driving license.

  • You’ll be qualified to degree standards or equivalent and have strong people/project management skills.
