Role Purpose


Responsible for producing and co-ordinating design drawings, specifications, reports and studies for network infrastructure. Undertaking technical site surveys, investigations and technical assurance, in conformance to military standards (JSP 604)


What you’ll do


  • Responsible for the design and implementation of cabling infrastructure, in conformance to military standards
  • Responsible for the creation of documents to include Rack Layouts, Floor Plans and Cable Routes
  • Responsible for maintaining records for cable management, reservation of infrastructure and managing requests
  • Create, manage and maintain drawing library for floor plans, fibre routes/lengths and rack layouts.


Who you are


  • Experience of MOD standards and policies including but not limited to JSP604
  • Knowledge and experience of designing communications infrastructure
  • Ability to analyse data and design documents to break down work into key tasks and activities.
  • Customer focused, delivering a high level of service to internal and external customers,
  • Knowledge and competent in the use of MS Office, Visio and other design/planning tools
  • Must be willing to undergo DV clearance
