We are working with an International Engineering and Telecoms business who are overseeing a large scale Fibre Network project in Merseyside.

The company are looking for a Site Acceptance Manager to join the business.

The Site Acceptance Manager reports to the Construction Manager:

  • To ensure the effective and safe running of the testing and commissioning aspects of the Network implementation. This will include the inspection and validation of any third-party ducts or assets being provided to the project.
  • Ensures that the work on site is delivered according to the approved testing plan, to an exemplary level of quality and at the planned output rates.

MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring that all test and commissioning work is compliant with both Health and Safety regulations and company procedures. Adopts preventative behaviours and ensures the safety of others on the worksite through leadership, briefing, coaching, zero tolerance and demonstrating exemplary behaviour as a safety role model.
  • Working closely with the DOE Project Engineer to ensure that all records, documents and data pertaining to Site testing, commissioning, inspection and validation are captured and provided for the purpose of completing the "as built" records and assisting with a smooth handover to the Operations and Maintenance contract.
  • Ensures compliance with contractual commitments, specifications, and quality of workmanship by supply chain and/or subcontractors.
  • Ensures compliance with schedules and plans corrective actions when necessary.
  • To manage the public interface with the project, ensure safety and segregation of the public and act politely and professionally as first point of contact with the public and the project.

CANDIDATES REQUIREMENTS For this position.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

Essential:

  • HND/HNC in Construction/Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering and Telecoms and/or:
  • Proven and successful track record (5+ years) in construction site management or a team leader role.
  • Experience of Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing
  • Experience of Insertion Loss Measurement (ILM) testing
  • Industry standards, and testing practices.
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction site and construction methods, tools and materials
  • Understand budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written, communication, interpersonal and briefing skills.
  • Good interpersonal and time management and proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office. Desirable:
  • Previous Highways/Street works experience
  • Knowledge of Liverpool Local Authority areas and geography
