Specialist Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a Side loader Forklift Operative/job picker. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, (Apply online only). The job roles consist of the following: Order picking, account and off the street trade from order tickets and verbal from the yard supervisor or branch managers. Unload deliveries coming. Help load and unload our vehicles for deliveries. Putting new stock away into racks and allocated areas. Manual labour - Lifting roofing slates and wooden timber onto/off vehicles. Moving stock to storage areas. Picking & packing of natural slate. Ensure products are clearly labelled for the yard and when being despatched to customers. Checking customer collections. Keep working areas clean and tidy whilst upholding health and safety policy and procedures. Access to a company van when needed (Driving licence required) Stock taking This is an excellent opportunity that could lead to a gaining valuable knowledge within a trade and the opportunity to gain certifications and or licenses that will be yours. However you must be under no illusion, you will be working outside throughout the year irrelevant of the weather conditions and you must be prepared to get your hand dirty, so to speak. Requirements for the job: Counterbalance FLT Licence Drivers licence Experience working within a builders merchants is an advantage however, not essential Literacy and numeracy understood to a good level Computer literate
