We are currently recruiting for an experienced Timber Side loader.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Timber Warehouse: 2 years (preferred)
  • Builders Merchants: 2 years (preferred)
  • Previous Side loader FLT Experience (Essential)
  • Full UK drivers’ licence
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attitude to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Previous experience in the Timber Trade is preferred but not essential
  • Timber storage yard/production Mill experience
  • Willing to undertake additional duties as and when required

Duties include:

  • Driving a Side loader to assist with loading/unloading/transporting to and from the Sawmill and other departments as required
  • Ensuring required tasks are carried out efficiently following internal procedures
  • On occasions some general labouring & housekeeping duties will be required
  • Rotation of timber stocks and working to internal procedures to comply with Chain of Custody
  • Liaising with Sawmill Staff ensuring consistent stock replenishment to maximise productivity
  • Licence/Certification: Side loader (required)
  • Counterbalance (required)

COVID-19 considerations:

  • Lateral flow tests weekly
  • Staggered start, break, and finish times
  • Separate or limited people use break spaces. Cleaning procedures
  • Sanitizer station and hand wash
  • All PPE is provided

  • Salary: £24,479.91

Monday – Thur: 07:30 – 17:00
Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
