Job Title: Supervisor

Location : OXFORD WC1A 1HB
Division/Department: Front of House
Contract: Full time, Permanent 40 hours, 5 days a week - shift are scheduled on a rota basis.
Reporting To: General Manager
Job Purpose: To support and assist the Management Team to run restaurant smoothly. Helping to ensure that the restaurant areas are professionally managed/ organised and a high degree of customer care, quality, cost control and revenue maximization is achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist in the management of the restaurant and cover in the absence of the respective heads of departments. (Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager)

Follow opening and closing procedures

Complete the daily briefing

Check colleague break entitlement

Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports

Check and order stock for the next day

Check any running offers for the shift and make sure everything is ready for it (Bleep, posters, menu pages, etc)
Divide the tips and distribute to colleagues
Follow-up with Customers

Ensure total guest satisfaction is achieved

Ensure the highest standards of professionalism, cleanliness and service delivery are followed at all times by all team members

Ensure all company procedures are adhered to at all times.

Ensure any guest issues are addressed immediately and resolved in a manner which exceeds the customer’s expectation(when Manager or A. Manager not present)

If maintenance works or repairs are required, contact the Maintenance Team.

Promptly deal with security issues and report to Management.

Take care of customers who have special dietary requirements.

Sales and Marketing :
Assist in the promotion/creation of in-house sales initiatives ensuring operations contribute proactively to the overall sales function

Ensure all service and hospitality quality standards are adhered to on all occasions by yourself and the teams that you supervise.

HR and Training:
Ensure all new team members are inducted, mentored and trained thoroughly alongside the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager.

Ensure excellent communication within the restaurant team

Attend all management meetings and training sessions as required.

Any Other Duties

You may be required to carry out other safe and reasonable requests from the Management Team.

We will provide training commensurate with the tasks you are asked to complete.

A 2 hour trial shift is required before any employment is considered.
