The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and engaging with customers and team members, with a professional but warm approach to ensure our wonderful customers have a great experience in their shop. They will be the face of Cream Cornwall and as such we expect nothing less than the very best.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of driving sales, maximising profitability, and achieving KPI targets.
  • Line management for all staff including training, rotas, holiday cover, appraisals, and performance.
  • Deliver commercial excellence and high standards of leadership, management, and customer service.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and role model, promoting Cream Cornwall’s key values and brand in order for your team to embody these for the benefit of our customers.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop your team to improve sales and customer experience, maximise their potential, and creating a culture that ensures the customer is at the center of everything we do.
  • Lead the way with exceptional retail skills, product knowledge, and commercial know-how, your experience will be key as you exceed sales and KPI targets, maximise profitability, and nurture the development of the team.
  • Support the owners and management team by taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Shop.
  • Manage the shop stock, receive any stock transfers, and maintain stock oversight so that no stock outages occur.
  • Conduct stock-taking of 10 %.
  • Merchandise products to maximise customer experience and encourage sales ensuring your team has a thorough knowledge of new lines and products.
  • Ensure that the window displays are refreshed at least every 6 weeks and that the Christmas window display is in place by the last weekend of Nov.
  • Weekly trade feedback and reporting
