Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Shop Floor Operative based at our Shrewsburylocation, who will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and operating light manufacturing machinery ensuring the efficient running of production for the Tectoniks business.

Duties Include, But Not Limited To

  • Manual handling and lifting materials
  • Operating, maintaining and monitoring light manufacturing machinery ensuring that machinery is maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
  • Acquiring, and maintaining specialist knowledge of products and production processes.
  • When required, undertake occasional site work and installation of units on third-party premises.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as instructed by the shop floor foreman or Managing Director.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are observed.
  • You will be based at the Shrewsbury site, but you may be required to work off-site for installation work, which may require staying away from home at the companies expense.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A current Driving license
  • Experience within a similar working environment
  • Attention to detail
  • A good work ethic
  • An ability to work independently at a high standard, with a great degree of care and initiative
